BBC Radio 4 discuss Digital Infrared BreastScan with Prof. Gordon Wishart and Prof. Hillary Thomas

On 7th June 2010 BBC Radio 4 – Woman’s Hour hosted a discussion with Prof. Gordon Wishart and Prof. Hillary Thomas, Trustee of Breakthrough Breast Cancer. Prof. Wishart about the recent publication showing that women under 50 will have significantly higher detection rate (89%) when mammogram is supplemented with Digital Infrared BreastScan.

Breakthrough Breast Cancer and Prof. Hillary Thomas favours further research into using Digital Infrared BreastScan as an adjunct to mammography which is only around 50% effective in women under 50.
